Being described as something elaborate and highly detailed, The Baroque period in European music lasted from about 1600 to 1750. This period described the artistic style which started in Rome, Italy and spread throughout Europe and even the other parts of the world in the 17th and 18th centuries. Baroque period was preceded by the Renaissance period followed by the Classical period.
